How it works
1. Get a key
Access is by API key. A key either spends credits on each lookup or holds a subscription, which gives unlimited lookups plus projections. Keys are issued by ForIT. Contact us to request one.
2. Contribute
Submit an invoice file (PDF or text, up to 10 MB), or report one fee line with its airport, FBO, aircraft class, fee type, amount, currency and date. Invoices are parsed into fee lines. Anything that isn't a recognized fee line is rejected, and nothing identifying is kept (see Data & privacy).
Contributing needs the operator's consent to share its data, so a key has to be cleared to contribute. A contribution is credited straight away. It stays private until consent for that submission is recorded, and only then does it appear in anyone's lookups.
3. Earn credits
A validated fee line earns credits. Lines for FBOs with no recent data earn more, because they fill the biggest gaps. Sending the same invoice or the same line again earns nothing.
4. Look up fees
Ask for an airport (ICAO) and an aircraft class, and optionally one FBO or one fee type. You get every published observed line: fee type, amount, currency, the FBO and the date it was seen. A credits key pays for each lookup. A subscription key does not.
5. Projections (subscription)
When an FBO or aircraft class has no invoice yet, subscribers get projected figures. They are built from the closest evidence there is: the same FBO's older or other-class invoices, then other FBOs at the same airport, then the same region, and scaled by aircraft size where the fee type scales with it. A projection always says kind: projected. It carries a confidence score and the IDs of the observations it came from, so it is never mistaken for a quoted price.
